Hotel Sonne Fex

Engadine cuisine · Inn

1 h by train and bus · to the starting point

The Sonne has stood beside the little mountain church of Fex Crasta in the car-free Val Fex since 1908 and is now run by the fourth generation of the Witschi family. You get there on foot, in winter also on cross-country skis, or by horse-drawn carriage from Sils Maria. In the Swiss stone pine parlour and on the sun terrace, homemade food ranges from Engadine classics to lighter Mediterranean dishes; the rösti, Engadine nut tart and blueberry cake are well known. It is open in summer and winter, and the house asks for bookings in the evening.
