11 min by car

At Gondolezza, next to Hotel Steinbock, you sit in a retired cable car cabin that spent more than 30 years travelling up and down the mountain – the grab handles and control box are still there. Cheese specialities made with glacier cheese from the Pontresina dairy are served: fondue in several variations, from the classic to a champagne and truffle version, and raclette from a table-top oven. In fine weather the sun terrace tempts you for an aperitif before dinner. As the cabin has only a few tables, it is best to book ahead.
