Hike up Piz Languard

Take the chairlift from Pontresina to Alp Languard (summer 2026: 6 June to 25 October, 8.30 am–5.15 pm), then climb about 1000 m through the Languard valley in 2½–3½ hours to the Chamanna Georgy (3175 m), just under 90 m below the summit (3261 m) – the highest hut in Graubünden. Sure-footedness and a head for heights required (T3). Stay overnight to see the sunrise; the hut is open until 20 October in 2026.
