Chamanna Paradis

Mountain hut

12 min by car · to the starting point

The small Paradis hut at around 2,540 m is about an hour’s walk from the Alp Languard top station, right in the territory of Switzerland’s largest ibex colony. From the terrace the view sweeps across the glaciers of the Bernina range. Simple hut specialities such as cakes and grilled sausages are served – just the right reward after the climb. The path has no exposed sections and is easy to manage with children; in doubtful weather it is worth a quick call to check whether the hut is open.

Our hosts' tip

Only reachable by lift, train or on foot – the car stays at the starting point. Reservations: not needed; call ahead in doubtful weather.
