18 min by car

The Gasthaus & Hotel Berninahaus at 2,046 m was first mentioned as early as 1515 and was once a rest stop and horse-changing station on the mule track over the Bernina Pass. Today the Cicognani family cooks regional food with a Valtellina touch: Capuns (chard parcels), homemade Sciatt (cheese fritters) and, in autumn, a dedicated game menu. Guests dine in three parlours or on the sun terrace. The valley stations of Diavolezza and Lagalb are only a few hundred metres away, and the Bernina Suot train stop is right outside the door.
