Berghaus Diavolezza

Mountain restaurant

20 min by car · to the starting point

The cable car takes you up to the Berghaus Diavolezza at almost 3,000 m, where Piz Palü and Piz Bernina seem close enough to touch. From the sun terrace you can even follow roped parties on Piz Palü through the telescope. The kitchen focuses on Graubünden and Valtellina classics: Pizzoccheri (buckwheat pasta), Sciatt (cheese fritters) and the house spaghetti “Diavolezza” with beef, cream and brandy. Anyone planning the guided glacier hike to Morteratsch starts right here.

Our hosts' tip

Only reachable by lift, train or on foot – the car stays at the starting point. Reservations: possible, by phone or email; recommended for groups.
