Hike to the Segantini hut

Hiking & nature · Muottas Muragl (Punt Muragl valley station)

22 min by train and bus

From the Muottas Muragl top station (2456 m) the partly steep mountain path climbs in 1½ to 2 hours to the Segantini hut (2731 m), where Giovanni Segantini died in 1899; it continues over the Schafberg to Alp Languard. In 2026 the hut is open until 18 October in good weather, roughly 10 am–5 pm, when the flag is flying; cash only, no overnight stays. Sure-footedness needed.
